Location and Surrounding Area. Located near the heart of Sorrento, this modern six-bedroom villa is the perfect place for a stylish break on one of the most famous stretches of coastline in the Mediterranean. Characterized by its bright lemon groves, dramatic plunging cliffs and crystal-clear waters, the Sorrentine Peninsula juts into the sea like a pointing finger, its rugged shores sprinkled with some of Southern Italy’s most spectacular beaches, its bucolic interior molded by the limestone Monti Lattari.

Perched on a plateau above the Mediterranean Sea, Sorrento offers a charming escape with unmatched views over the Bay of Naples, the island of Capri and towards Mount Vesuvius. Sorrento has something for everyone, from rural walks through lemon groves to Roman ruins, bustling harbors, and boat tours. Tourist boutiques, seafood restaurants and limoncello tastings make this town perfect for strolling around, whilst enchanting coves and pebble beaches are ideal for visitors looking for an escape by the sea.

Set in the hills just below the ridge that divides Sorrento from the sheer southern coastline lies the village of Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi, named for its dominance of the gulfs of both Naples and Salerno. To the west and south-west of Sorrento is a hilly hinterland, the sprawling Massa Lubrense, and a wild stretch of coast that developers have left untouched. The Massa Lubrense is home to hamlets and ancient look-out towers, a reminder of repeated invasions over the centuries, surrounded by citrus and olive groves.

If Sorrento gets too much, the laid-back town of Vico Equense, which stands on a sheer tufa cliff just along the coast, makes an attractive base. Beach bums tend to head for the small pockets of sand tucked into coves at Marina di Vico and Marina d'Aequa, walkers tackle the old footpath to Positano, clinging to the cliffs on the Amalfi coastline, and culture hounds hop on the Circumvesuviana train to march around the ancient sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, destroyed by the eruption of the Vesuvius.

Positano boasts authentic pastel-toned townhouses scattered across a spectacular stretch of coastline, blue seascapes, and narrow alleyways with wisteria and lemon trees. From crystalline waters and dramatic rocky cliffs to twisting lanes and spectacular architecture, Positano is a quaint cliffside village abounding in unique and timeless charms. The Property. Within easy reach of romantic Sorrento, Villa Max boasts a generous garden and a large terrace overlooking the Bay of Naples. With an impressive sense of comfort and elegance, this exclusive villa features stylish contemporary furnishings and abundance of natural light. A dream to live and share with friends and loved ones, Villa Max can sleep 12 guests in six double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom spread over two floors. The villa can sleep two additional guests in two single beds, available on request.

Surrounded by olive trees in the picturesque hills close to Sorrento, the villa boasts an exclusive pool (open from April to October) and a wooden poolside area with luxurious sun loungers inviting guests to unwind while enjoying the panorama. Offering a peaceful atmosphere, the outdoor area boasts a barbecue and a large table for al fresco dining. With gorgeous views of the Bay of Naples, the outdoor area of the villa also features lounge areas for relaxing and socializing.

Minimal and stylish décor is present throughout, with large sliding glass doors welcoming in its beautiful surroundings. With modern furnishings, the main floor boasts a large living area with comfortable sofas and a large flat-screen satellite TV. On the main floor you will also find a generous dining room and a modern fully-equipped kitchen with an island for an informal breakfast with breathtaking views. On the same floor, you will also find a handy laundry room and a guest bathroom.

From the living room, you can access three double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom located on the same floor (all bathrooms have shower, one has a Turkish bath). The upper floor features three double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom (one with Jacuzzi tub, one with tub, one with shower). All bedrooms on this floor have access to the furnished panoramic terrace. Air conditioning is available in the living room and all bedrooms. A single bed can be added in two bedrooms for a total of 14 guests.
