Set on the cliffs of Maiori with expansive panoramic views of the Tyrrhenian Sea, this magnificent six-bedroom property is the perfect place for a relaxing break on one of the most famous stretches of coastline in the Mediterranean. With a spectacular cliff-top setting facing the imposing Mount Vesuvius across the glittering Bay of Naples and the crystal-clear waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, it is no wonder the Amalfi Coast is a must-visit destination on everyone's bucket list.

The villa is just a stone’s throw from Maiori, which resembles an amphitheatre at the end of the Tramonti valley. Founded in the 9th century and rebuilt after a flood in 1954, today Maiori is a modern town. Tucked between mountains and sea, Amalfi is a town best explored on foot. While Piazza Duomo and the main street are home to most of the town’s shops and restaurants, do spend some time wandering and exploring the quieter side streets, where you will find arched passageways, hidden gardens, and tiny piazzas.

The villa is also a few kilometres from Vietri sul Mare, a seaside resort exceptionally renowned for its ceramics. The majolica-decorated dome and bell tower of San Giovanni Battista have almost come to symbolise this town overlooking the Bay of Salerno. Cooking utensils, plates, vases, and tiles have been made here since the 1400s. In the mid-18th century, Vietri sul Mare became known as the majolica-makers’ district, a suburb of Cava de’ Tirreni.

The villa is a few kilometres from Ravello. Sitting high in the hills above Amalfi, Ravello is famous for its ravishing gardens and stupendous views, the best in the world according to former resident Gore Vidal. The Ravello Festival is a classical music festival held in the gardens of Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone, as well as in a fabulous auditorium designed by Oscar Niemeyer. Originally built for the Rufolo family, Villa Rufolo was remodelled in the 19th century by a Scottish enthusiast who preserved the Arabic elements.

La Torre di Maiori is 64 km from Naples Capodichino International Airport and 293 km from Rome Leonardo da Vinci International Airport. Maiori is 4 km from the villa, Amalfi is 9 km, Vietri sul Mare is 12 km, Ravello is 13 km, Positano is 30 km, Pompeii is 37 km, Sorrento is 40 km, Herculaneum is 53 km, and Naples is 61 km. The villa is located near the centre of Maiori, where all the necessary services can be easily found.

The Property
Situated on a sheer cliff with four charming separate annexes, La Torre di Maiori is a medieval watchtower for those seeking complete privacy and relaxation in one of the most evocative corners of the Amalfi Coast. Trapped between an infinite blue sky and azure sea, the spectacular cliff-top setting of this ancient tower ensures superb panoramas. Offering a calm atmosphere and panoramic views of the sea, La Torre di Maiori can accommodate up to twelve guests, featuring six bedrooms with bathrooms spread across four annexes.

With generous terraces overlooking the sea, this magnificent villa boasts an exclusive double-level pool linked by communicating steps and a poolside area equipped with comfortable sun loungers, inviting guests to sit back and unwind. Offering a peaceful atmosphere, the outdoor space features an al fresco lounge area for relaxing and socialising. A winding path leads down below the tower to a private cove for swimming in the sea and discovering its hidden wonders.

Flooded with light, the ground floor has direct access to the outdoor terraces through plate glass doors leading to a separate dining room with beamed ceilings and magnificent sea views. On the same floor, you will also find a fully-equipped kitchen with all the amenities you might need during your stay. Accessed by an external staircase, the first floor features a large panoramic living room with a fireplace and one guest bathroom. The second floor houses a master bedroom and a bathroom with a shower.

Situated next to the tower, the first annex boasts a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a shower and views of the sea. In the second annex, you will find a double bedroom and one twin room, each featuring its own en-suite bathroom with a shower, while sharing a wonderful terrace. Situated near the poolside area, the third annex houses a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a shower and a charming terrace. In the fourth annex, you will find a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a shower.

The concierge is present full-time every day on our property. A typical workday begins at 9:00 am and ends at 6:00 pm. However, as the villa's caretaker, he lives on-site and can easily be available outside of regular hours. His apartment is located near the entrance gate.
